See also: AWS API Documentation

See ‘aws help’ for descriptions of global parameters.

Synopsis

  reload-tables
--replication-task-arn <value>
--tables-to-reload <value>
[--reload-option <value>]
[--cli-input-json | --cli-input-yaml]
[--generate-cli-skeleton <value>]

Options

--replication-task-arn (string)

The Amazon Resource Name (ARN) of the replication task.

--tables-to-reload (list)

The name and schema of the table to be reloaded.

(structure)

Provides the name of the schema and table to be reloaded.

SchemaName -> (string)

The schema name of the table to be reloaded.

TableName -> (string)

The table name of the table to be reloaded.

Shorthand Syntax:

SchemaName=string,TableName=string ...

JSON Syntax:

[
  {
    "SchemaName": "string",
    "TableName": "string"
  }
  ...
]

--reload-option (string)

Options for reload. Specify data-reload to reload the data and re-validate it if validation is enabled. Specify validate-only to re-validate the table. This option applies only when validation is enabled for the task.

Valid values: data-reload, validate-only

Default value is data-reload.

Possible values:

  • data-reload

  • validate-only

--cli-input-json | --cli-input-yaml (string) Reads arguments from the JSON string provided. The JSON string follows the format provided by --generate-cli-skeleton. If other arguments are provided on the command line, those values will override the JSON-provided values. It is not possible to pass arbitrary binary values using a JSON-provided value as the string will be taken literally. This may not be specified along with --cli-input-yaml.

--generate-cli-skeleton (string) Prints a JSON skeleton to standard output without sending an API request. If provided with no value or the value input, prints a sample input JSON that can be used as an argument for --cli-input-json. Similarly, if provided yaml-input it will print a sample input YAML that can be used with --cli-input-yaml. If provided with the value output, it validates the command inputs and returns a sample output JSON for that command.

See ‘aws help’ for descriptions of global parameters.

Examples

To refresh the list of tables available at an endpoint

The following reload-tables example reloads the list of available tables at an endpoint.

aws dms reload-tables \
    --replication-task-arn "arn:aws:dms:us-east-1:123456789012:task:K55IUCGBASJS5VHZJIINA45FII" \
    --tables-to-reload "SchemaName=prodrep,TableName=ACCT_BAL"

Output:

{
    "ReplicationTaskArn": "arn:aws:dms:us-east-1:123456789012:task:K55IUCGBASJS5VHZJIINA45FII"
}

Output

ReplicationTaskArn -> (string)

The Amazon Resource Name (ARN) of the replication task.
