list-findings

Description

Lists Amazon GuardDuty findings for the specified detector ID.

list-findings is a paginated operation. Multiple API calls may be issued in order to retrieve the entire data set of results. You can disable pagination by providing the --no-paginate argument. When using --output text and the --query argument on a paginated response, the --query argument must extract data from the results of the following query expressions: FindingIds

Options

--detector-id (string)

The ID of the detector that specifies the GuardDuty service whose findings you want to list.

--finding-criteria (structure)

Represents the criteria used for querying findings. Valid values include:

  • JSON field name

  • accountId

  • region

  • confidence

  • id

  • resource.accessKeyDetails.accessKeyId

  • resource.accessKeyDetails.principalId

  • resource.accessKeyDetails.userName

  • resource.accessKeyDetails.userType

  • service.archived When this attribute is set to ‘true’, only archived findings are listed. When it’s set to ‘false’, only unarchived findings are listed. When this attribute is not set, all existing findings are listed.

Criterion -> (map)

Represents a map of finding properties that match specified conditions and values when querying findings.

key -> (string)

value -> (structure)

Contains information about the condition.

Eq -> (list)

Represents the equal condition to be applied to a single field when querying for findings.

(string)

Neq -> (list)

Represents the not equal condition to be applied to a single field when querying for findings.

(string)

Gt -> (integer)

Represents a greater than condition to be applied to a single field when querying for findings.

Gte -> (integer)

Represents a greater than or equal condition to be applied to a single field when querying for findings.

Lt -> (integer)

Represents a less than condition to be applied to a single field when querying for findings.

Lte -> (integer)

Represents a less than or equal condition to be applied to a single field when querying for findings.

Equals -> (list)

Represents an equal condition to be applied to a single field when querying for findings.

NotEquals -> (list)

Represents a not equal condition to be applied to a single field when querying for findings.

GreaterThan -> (long)

Represents a greater than condition to be applied to a single field when querying for findings.

GreaterThanOrEqual -> (long)

Represents a greater than or equal condition to be applied to a single field when querying for findings.

LessThan -> (long)

Represents a less than condition to be applied to a single field when querying for findings.

LessThanOrEqual -> (long)

Represents a less than or equal condition to be applied to a single field when querying for findings.

--sort-criteria (structure)

Represents the criteria used for sorting findings.

AttributeName -> (string)

Represents the finding attribute (for example, accountId) to sort findings by.

OrderBy -> (string)

The order by which the sorted findings are to be displayed.

Shorthand Syntax:

--cli-input-json | --cli-input-yaml (string) Reads arguments from the JSON string provided. The JSON string follows the format provided by --generate-cli-skeleton. If other arguments are provided on the command line, those values will override the JSON-provided values. It is not possible to pass arbitrary binary values using a JSON-provided value as the string will be taken literally. This may not be specified along with --cli-input-yaml.

--starting-token (string)

A token to specify where to start paginating. This is the NextToken from a previously truncated response.

--page-size (integer)

The size of each page to get in the AWS service call. This does not affect the number of items returned in the command’s output. Setting a smaller page size results in more calls to the AWS service, retrieving fewer items in each call. This can help prevent the AWS service calls from timing out.

--max-items (integer)

The total number of items to return in the command’s output. If the total number of items available is more than the value specified, a NextToken is provided in the command’s output. To resume pagination, provide the NextToken value in the starting-token argument of a subsequent command. Do not use the NextToken response element directly outside of the AWS CLI.

--generate-cli-skeleton (string) Prints a JSON skeleton to standard output without sending an API request. If provided with no value or the value input, prints a sample input JSON that can be used as an argument for --cli-input-json. Similarly, if provided yaml-input it will print a sample input YAML that can be used with --cli-input-yaml. If provided with the value output, it validates the command inputs and returns a sample output JSON for that command. The generated JSON skeleton is not stable between versions of the AWS CLI and there are no backwards compatibility guarantees in the JSON skeleton generated.

Example 1: To list all findings for the current region

The following list-findings example displays a list of all findingIds for the current region sorted by severity from highest to lowest.

The following list-findings example displays a list of all findingIds that match a specified finding type.

The following list-findings example displays a list of all findingIds that are not archived, and involve the IAM user named “testuser”, as specified in a JSON file.
