batch-put-asset-property-value

Description

Sends a list of asset property values to IoT SiteWise. Each value is a timestamp-quality-value (TQV) data point. For more information, see Ingesting data using the API in the IoT SiteWise User Guide .

To identify an asset property, you must specify one of the following:

  • The assetId and propertyId of an asset property.
  • A propertyAlias , which is a data stream alias (for example, /company/windfarm/3/turbine/7/temperature ). To define an asset property’s alias, see UpdateAssetProperty .

Warning

With respect to Unix epoch time, IoT SiteWise accepts only TQVs that have a timestamp of no more than 7 days in the past and no more than 10 minutes in the future. IoT SiteWise rejects timestamps outside of the inclusive range of [-7 days, +10 minutes] and returns a TimestampOutOfRangeException error.

For each asset property, IoT SiteWise overwrites TQVs with duplicate timestamps unless the newer TQV has a different quality. For example, if you store a TQV {T1, GOOD, V1} , then storing {T1, GOOD, V2} replaces the existing TQV.

Options

--entries (list)

The list of asset property value entries for the batch put request. You can specify up to 10 entries per request.

(structure)

Contains a list of value updates for an asset property in the list of asset entries consumed by the BatchPutAssetPropertyValue API operation.

entryId -> (string)

The user specified ID for the entry. You can use this ID to identify which entries failed.

assetId -> (string)

The ID of the asset to update.

propertyId -> (string)

The ID of the asset property for this entry.

propertyAlias -> (string)

The alias that identifies the property, such as an OPC-UA server data stream path (for example, /company/windfarm/3/turbine/7/temperature ). For more information, see Mapping industrial data streams to asset properties in the IoT SiteWise User Guide .

propertyValues -> (list)

The list of property values to upload. You can specify up to 10 propertyValues array elements.

(structure)

Contains asset property value information.

value -> (structure)

The value of the asset property (see Variant ).

stringValue -> (string)

Asset property data of type string (sequence of characters).

integerValue -> (integer)

Asset property data of type integer (number that’s greater than or equal to zero).

doubleValue -> (double)

Asset property data of type double (floating point number).

booleanValue -> (boolean)

Asset property data of type Boolean (true or false).

timestamp -> (structure)

The timestamp of the asset property value.

timeInSeconds -> (long)

The timestamp date, in seconds, in the Unix epoch format. Fractional nanosecond data is provided by offsetInNanos .

offsetInNanos -> (integer)

The nanosecond offset from timeInSeconds .

quality -> (string)

The quality of the asset property value.

--cli-input-json | --cli-input-yaml (string) Reads arguments from the JSON string provided. The JSON string follows the format provided by --generate-cli-skeleton. If other arguments are provided on the command line, those values will override the JSON-provided values. It is not possible to pass arbitrary binary values using a JSON-provided value as the string will be taken literally. This may not be specified along with --cli-input-yaml.

--generate-cli-skeleton (string) Prints a JSON skeleton to standard output without sending an API request. If provided with no value or the value input, prints a sample input JSON that can be used as an argument for --cli-input-json. Similarly, if provided yaml-input it will print a sample input YAML that can be used with --cli-input-yaml. If provided with the value output, it validates the command inputs and returns a sample output JSON for that command. The generated JSON skeleton is not stable between versions of the AWS CLI and there are no backwards compatibility guarantees in the JSON skeleton generated.

Global Options

--debug (boolean)

Turn on debug logging.

--endpoint-url (string)

Override command’s default URL with the given URL.

--no-verify-ssl (boolean)

By default, the AWS CLI uses SSL when communicating with AWS services. For each SSL connection, the AWS CLI will verify SSL certificates. This option overrides the default behavior of verifying SSL certificates.

--no-paginate (boolean)

Disable automatic pagination.

--output (string)

The formatting style for command output.

--query (string)

A JMESPath query to use in filtering the response data.

--profile (string)

Use a specific profile from your credential file.

--region (string)

The region to use. Overrides config/env settings.

--version (string)

Display the version of this tool.

--color (string)

Turn on/off color output.

--no-sign-request (boolean)

Do not sign requests. Credentials will not be loaded if this argument is provided.

--ca-bundle (string)

The CA certificate bundle to use when verifying SSL certificates. Overrides config/env settings.

--cli-read-timeout (int)

The maximum socket read time in seconds. If the value is set to 0, the socket read will be blocking and not timeout. The default value is 60 seconds.

--cli-connect-timeout (int)

The maximum socket connect time in seconds. If the value is set to 0, the socket connect will be blocking and not timeout. The default value is 60 seconds.

--cli-binary-format (string)

The formatting style to be used for binary blobs. The default format is base64. The base64 format expects binary blobs to be provided as a base64 encoded string. The raw-in-base64-out format preserves compatibility with AWS CLI V1 behavior and binary values must be passed literally. When providing contents from a file that map to a binary blob fileb:// will always be treated as binary and use the file contents directly regardless of the cli-binary-format setting. When using file:// the file contents will need to properly formatted for the configured cli-binary-format.

To send data to asset properties

The following batch-put-asset-property-value example sends power and temperature data to the asset properties identified by property aliases.

errorEntries -> (list)

A list of the errors (if any) associated with the batch put request. Each error entry contains the entryId of the entry that failed.

(structure)

Contains error information for asset property value entries that are associated with the BatchPutAssetPropertyValue API.

entryId -> (string)

The ID of the failed entry.

errors -> (list)

The list of update property value errors.

(structure)

Contains error information from updating a batch of asset property values.

errorCode -> (string)

The error code.

errorMessage -> (string)

The associated error message.

timestamps -> (list)

A list of timestamps for each error, if any.

Contains a timestamp with optional nanosecond granularity.

timeInSeconds -> (long)

The timestamp date, in seconds, in the Unix epoch format. Fractional nanosecond data is provided by offsetInNanos .
